Focus the
Sun
Solarcraft does not burn coal or draw current. We steer the sun. A 2.4-meter heliostat array tracks the azimuth, a Fresnel lens concentrates the flux, and at the focal plane—2,800°C in a point smaller than a pinhead—we forge what fire cannot: molten quartz, sintered ceramics, solar-etched titanium. The beam is the tool; the sun, the craftsman.
► Track the BeamMolten Quartz Lens
Pure fused quartz, heated to 2,200°C at the focal point, then annealed under controlled UV exposure. The lens focuses not just light but the memory of the beam that formed it. Each bubble trapped at the focal plane tells the story of a sunspot's passage.
Titanium Etching
Grade 5 titanium, surface oxidized under concentrated blue light. The solar flux selectively removes the oxide layer, leaving behind a permanent etch that no acid can replicate. The pattern follows the sun's path across the sky during the forging window.
Ceramic Sintering
Alumina-zirconia composite, sintered in a single solar pulse. The red-shifted focus allows deeper penetration, creating a gradient density from surface to core. The resulting ceramic rings like a bell when struck—a pure solar tone.
